Response Time: With different time zones, it is important to note how quick a freelancer reply’s to an employer need. If a freelancer reply’s later than 24hrs; chances are they a not, a suitable candidate.

Customer Service: If a freelancer accommodates more work with no extra charge on a job – take notice, as it will help in a good long professional relationship. [TIP: Pay an extra bonus on top of agreed payment – then watch them do more wonders]

Video Calls: This is one of the first signs where trust can began. Physically seeing someone face to face, gives an employer an impression how confident the freelancer is on video call.

Calling Contactable References: It is a good idea to try and speak with candidates past employers, and get an understanding about their work role – How well they took on task; and time frame to completed projects.
